HELP!
Last year in Boston I started partaking in your conversations about the "K". I shared my past experiences with you all and expressed the great happiness I had achieve after 7 years of misery. Here's the problem.
About a year ago in Boston I started having like anxiety attacks...which seem to be earthquake related (earth sensitive), but the symptoms are worsening. For the last year I have been experiencing down-pours of sweat in my arm pits and hot flashes along with a quick temper. It's driving me crazy....could it be the K or menapause...my birthday is next Sunday, June 8th and I'll be the big 40. A few people over the years claim I have the hands of a healer and I'm not using my gift. I'm very confused....I know a tremendous change is about to occur in my life. I'm keeping the faith, for I have always prided myself in knowing who and what I am and able to access the universal ring of knowledge except in this situation. Can someone shed some light here.
Karen

hi, peggy, i loved that book, too, when i read it.
i imagine there is more that must be done than to merely BE among the people
and their problems, in order to develop spiritually. otherwise, everyone in
my neighborhood would be a guru--we've got it all: gangs, drugs, violence,
poverty, racial tension---what more could you ask for? starhawk even admits
it is a little easier to attune in her wilderness retreat. i sometimes feel
overly blessed with challenges!!

Peggy,
This is absolutely cool!!! I don't understand exactly what you're
talking about here, but I figured that my imagination was spinning out
of control (probably was) and then you step in and put a groundwork of
physics to it - neat! I wish Peter Norton were posting, you would get
along famously. He is bigtime into the same concepts - does microtubules
ring a bell?
Thanks for the validation,

Wow! I've been wondering for the past three years why, when I close my eyes,
there is this light purple colour hovering and moving around. I see it more
clearly when it's dark and also see it with open eyes in a dark room. At
times I see intense greens or blues, pinks or reds which glow all across my
"vision" behind my eyelids. These colours usually alternate and there is a
small dot in their middle which looks like the pupil of an eye. If I
concentrate on this "eye" it enlarges and brings in the next colour
spreading radiantly across until I seem to bathe in its luminenscence.
Has this perhaps to do with our chakras?
Could anyone enlighten me ;) on this phenomenon? It does not sound like it
is k. because instead of electrifying me, it just pleases me and I am
content with this. Needless to say, I see the other colours only when I'm
relaxed which I aim for daily by meditating my own way. The purple however,
is always there now, relaxed or not.
I am fairly new on this list so perhaps this spectacle has been discussed
1001 times already. If someone wouldn't mind bringing it up again?
Thank you
Am

HI Karen,
I got menopause symptoms when I was 38, I went to the doctor not knowing
what it was and he said that it could not be it because I was too
young.. I insisted after 3 years of hot flashes and night sweats, that
he would take my blood for a test, and Voila! there was lack of "the
hormones."
I started taking them, and the symptoms got better. I took first the
ones that doctors give and I did not like them, I got a bit heavier and
when I found out that they were taken out of the urine of pregnant
mares, that they keep pregnant all the time, and all the awful things
they do to the baby horses... I stopped. Now I take "Triest". that I
send for on an automatic delivery from the International Womens
Pharmacy, and they mail them to me every month, they are natural.
A year ago I got K awakening and this energy that goes up and down my
head and face is similar to the hot flashes but much more intense, the
mood swings are natural too, they are kriyas if you have K awakenign
they come strong at the beginning. Do you meditate or follow your
"sadhana" spiritual path or practice?
There are a lot of great wonderful women here on the list that can help
you with these matters...menopause is a strange transformation for a
woman if you start viewing it as an advancement instead of a
deterioration. It focuses your energies into a more spiritual life,
since the "desperation" of sex lessens...and you start accelerating your
thoughts towards more "real and important" things, not so much the waste
of time of "ego exhaltation." To me it started being tough out of
ignorance, but now I am very happy about going through it.
In service of the light,
Lissette

Here is a little nice story
ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING
by Francie Baltazar-Schwartz
Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good
mood and always had something positive to say. When someone asked him
how he was doing, he'd reply, "If I were any better, I'd be twins!"
He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed
him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters
followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator.
If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was there telling the
>> employee how to look on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?" Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood." I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life." "Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested. "Yes it is," Jerry said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. Y!
!
!
ou choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live life."
I reflected on what Jerry said. Soon thereafter, I left the
restaurant industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but often
thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to
it.
Several years later, I heard that Jerry did something you're never
supposed to do in a restaurant business: he left the back door open
one morning and was held up at gunpoint by three armed robbers. While
trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off
the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him.
Luckily, Jerry was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local
trauma center. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care,
Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still
in his body.
I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how
he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my
scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone
through his mind as the robbery took place.
"The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have
locked the back door," Jerry replied. "Then as I lay on the floor, I
remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live, or I could
choose to die. I chose to live.
"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. Jerry
continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going
to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw
the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really
scared. In their eyes I read, "'He's a dead man.'" "I knew I needed
to take action." "What did you do?" I asked.
"Well, there was a big, burly nurse shouting questions at me," said
Jerry. "She asked if I was allergic to anything.
"'Yes,'" I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they
waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled, "'Bullets!'"
Over their laughter, I told them, "'I'm choosing to live. Operate on me
as if I'm alive, not dead.'" Jerry lived thanks to the skill of his
doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from
him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after
all, is everything.
You have two choices now:
1. Save and delete this mail from your mail box.
2. Forward it to your dear ones (excluding me) and choose life.
I hope you will select #2.

(k)ites,
Just a quick note to reiterate why my posts begin with their subject
line with five less-than symbols.
1. To allow those without any interest in my ramblings to quickly and
effectively delete them from their in-box.
2. To remind me five times that the insignificance of my posts to
others is far outweighed by the therapeutic I receive by being able to
share them with others.
Love and LAUGHING LIGHT,
Dan-RF
BTW, the source of my tagline for those who are interested and may have
missed it in my billions of words of prior verbiage. The love comes from
my awakening ... before it I NEVER used the word in ANY correspondance
to ANYONE, even my mother ... was too un-macho. And the LAUGHING LIGHT
comes from the (typical in spontaneous awakenings - considered a hall
mark) persistent humor, puns, etc. that would tumble out unexplainably
and endlessly in my posts during my earlier stages ... while that
spontaneously effusive (and to many baffling) humor is gone it persists
in the background and I try to keep it there -- even in posts, that are
on their face serious, there remains a scintillating, sparkling giggle
behind them - rarely is it absent. =-)
