I'm sorry to disagree with you, but paganism has nothing to with evilness
and what not. The problem is people use it a an excuse to do wicked
things because of the reputations that we recieve from the church. I am a
practicing witch and many of my friends are, and we share the same main
beliefs of all religions- that of love! in fact, the idea of "satan" is
purely a christian invention. I'm not saing there isn't evil in the world,
but true witches arn't devil worshipers!

Yesterday I signed up to take my first intensive through SYDA w/
Gurumayi etc. I'm looking forward to this, so I was reading the Siddha
yoga FAQ and I became a bit concerned when I came to the end seeing the
controversy about the passing of the lineage back in 1982 with
SYDA...Could anyone shed some light on this....?

Realize you could be dropping a technique that is wrong for you or you could
miss the benefit of a good technique. If you decide to take up a new sport, I
doubt seriously you'd expect to feel anything but sore after the first few
weeks. This deserves at least as much devotion as basketball or running.
Without being an expert you can never be certain. Hence my suggestion to go with
the paths of the experts from history until you find your own personal teacher.

That is why you need a teacher, hence the "pray for a teacher" step in the
original post. A teacher would know if there was a subtle body healing that is
needed before progress can take place. Being "open to new techniques" is a good
thing but trying them out with no real basis in the search for the one for a
particular moment in time without an idea of what is needed is not safe.
At the risk of starting the flame war again I'll give you the best example. If a
person has a strong vajra rising, Kundalini has taken vajra nadi on its way out
of the root chakra, the very worst thing possible would be to try a sexual
tantric technique. That same technique in other circumstances could be
absolutely the thing to do. The reason is a vajra rising can create all manner
of physical and mental problems, if left to run its course it can ruin one's
life. What it can not do is lead to enlightenment. The first order of business
is to get the K out of vajra, the best technique for that would involve totally
avoiding sex of any kind along with some other practices. (Not for life, for as
long as it takes to move the K over to a more appropriate nadi, maybe a few
months, it varies with the individual.)
In that example continuing and especially increasing sex will make the condition
worse and ultimately ruin the student. The K will always be out of control and
doing only mischief. Think of it this way: the electricity has gone off and
your are in a dark room when you're overpowered by a strong smell. You choose
to strike a match to see what is causing it. If the smell came from gasoline (a
vajra rising) lighting a match would be something way short of smart. Since we
really don't know enough to be able to identify the "gasoline" of the Kundalini
world I choose to play it safe and not stirke matches and would always suggest
that others do the same.

Harm spiritual development? It sure will (and I'd rather use the term
misinformed if you don't mind, we've had enough rudeness on the list lately).
The universe can harm your spiritual development in this way: it will let you
harm it as much as you choose. The tool to do this can be the following of the
"get enlightened quick" books which are the New Age answer to the "get rich
quick" books of old.
As for your soul, anything that keeps you from God harms your soul. Anything
that keeps you from enlightenment, keeps you from God. If someone were to kidnap
an infant and treat it reasonably well and never return it would not the child
still be harmed simply because it was kept away from its loving parents? I
would say it certainly was harmed.

Death is a blessing when we have reached the state where we don't have to
return, the other times it is a block on the road of the chance for progress. It
slows down the return to the devine. The souls of the unenlightened are never
free they are forced to repeat in this world of maya for all time.

Unfortunately, I know from experience what happens when both hands are
opened with Reiki.
The kundalini body naturally polarizes (I think this is a transitory
state which later balances). The left side flows to ground. When the
Reiki initites in the left hand, the energy backflows and you have to
deal with negative energy from the healee until you can straighten out
your energy pattern. Long and tedious, so why bother, best to initiate
only on the right hand and tell the instructor before. Reiki is supposed
to be only right hand for just this reason, but my instructor thought
that if a little is good, more is better.

Hi Pam,
I grew up in Virginia City right on top of the mines, in fact my
grandmother came to Virginia City on a stagecoach and my father worked
in the mines as a young man and owned a mine later on. So, that gold and
silver does run in our veins. And, it does effect things, I had a hair
analysis about 5 years ago and I had about 900% copper in me, they said
where in the heck did that come from. I use to play as a child in the
mill right in the ore vat.
And, yes kundalini was active through out my childhood. We lived on a
mountain called Sun Mountain, (Mt. Davidson) this is where most of the
ore came from to build San Francisco.
It is a very powerful area much like Sedona. Gloria

I'm certainly not saying that I bought into his message, but I found
him very interesting and very much a character. He very well may be
using it for fame and money as well, but that isn't up to me to judge.
He represents a segment of the population of which there are many
segments, aren't there. The truth is on the inside and not the outside,
yet many folks don't know that and continue to seek for something
magical out there, the illusion is strong. Of course, many of them would

I wasn't on for a week so I thought I just missed it, was there a
disagreement or just the flow of positive/negative energy. Sometimes
that is how the spiritual dance goes before the teaching is revealed.

Hello all.. I have been really depressed this past week or two,
and two of my very close friends and I are painfully and quickly getting
farther apart.. and I don't understand why. Also, I've been thinking a
lot about wars, and I woke up about three nights in a row at 1 am after
having nightmares that I can't remember, even right after waking up. I
think though that they were about war. And I've been remembering a lot
of my horrible war dreams.. and a nightmare a few weeks ago about a
goddess named Gabrielle who tried to kill me and started to cut off my
legs and shave my hjair before two of my friends talked her out iof it.
Anyway, I wrote two 'dark' poems this week, and I thought I'd share
them. They are both unfinished and untitled.
Darkness folds around me
In silence here, I wait
The voices whirl around me;
I lift my eyes to fate
The future has been dimming
Before my hopeless eyes
My heart is chained to agony
Though no one hears my cries
This darkness I'm forseeing
Is growing ever near..
The darkness grows
I wield my sword
I bow my head and wait
The storms grow wild
The war begins
Amid the human's fright.
I'm waiting in the calm here now
I see my future path
I tried to warn them of the war
But all they did was laugh
The stars are dimming one by one
The world sinks into night
I stand alone atop a hill
Cloaked in the dark that is bright
I told one of my friends about my Gabrielle dream and he told me he had
info on her and brought it to me today. It scared me. I don't like her
anyway, based on my dream though.. can anyone tell me more about her?
Has anyone heard of her?
Also this week, my right nee is KILLING me (or was for one day) and a
few days ago one morning I turned my head and all the sudden my neck hurt
really bad. Maybe I pulled a muscle or something, I don't know, but at
first I couldn't move my head or shoulders at all because of the pain,
and now if I turn my head left or suddenly move it it hurts really bad.
And when I rub my muscle, it feels like a big knot to the left ofmy spine.

Gloria, yes! It would be wonderful,
if the list would agree to disagree,
when we are in 100% unity
where it is ok to disagree,
the powers attracted to us
would be so profoundly synchronistic
with reflecting our needs individually
and with dignity to our Godselves,
collectively.this list could be for investigation of truth,
where each of us gives our piece of the grand puzzle of infinity
and with dignity reveal what we percieve,
when we discuss contrary or conflicting views,
we could realize the truth of the matter is that
for the light of reality becomes apparent when two opinions co-incide.
A spark is produced when flint and steel come together,
and the truth of the matter is revealed by this energy.
So when we all agree to agree to disagree, we have synchronistity, we
are near the Great Spirit, the Energy is high,
And when we have those conflicting opinions, with friendly safe rapport
the blinding light of Truth is born out of it, with unerroring guidance
behind it.
So when you see Truth, you will also see the way through right behind it.

Wow, some poem. And I do believe you are down in that fear energy. What
has been going on? What are you thinking these days? ARe you worried
about friends again and family? Dad again...
Remember it is up to you the kind of thoughts you allow to enter your
mind. Monitor your thoughts, just observe and don't judge them. This is
good for meditation ... but I would like you to do it as much of the
time as you can remember. Make a note to yourself to do it, and then
write them down in your journal at night, then after your dreams in the
morning, write again. Do this for all of tomorrow and Sunday and get bck
to me.
You also are having some projections, this means either some lower
force elementals are around you attracted by your thoughts and
manipulating you or you are actually receiving throughts from others you
know. It doesn't take much to get this kind of thing going. Have you had
a fight wih someone? Is there some jaleousy or competition happening?
Solutions: Tonight, work before going to bed on remembering what you
did and thought today. Then I want you to put it on your altar in your
heart...one by one... then ask that your guardian angel, Mother Mary,
and Christ come to your aid. (Amy is CAtholic..). All it requires is
sincereity and humility. Say what comes to you and let go of all of it.
Then do what I asked you to tomorrow. When you have cleared your aura
up by mentally and emotionally letting go, then you can meditate. It
isn't good to open yourself to meditation when you haven't looked at
what you are doing. The lower forces love that and really torment you.
This isn't good.
If you call on me in the middle of the night I will help you. Just say
my name and think of what I have shared with you when you telepathically
call me I will come to your side. Remember no fear, you are a spiritual

Many times I have been tempted to leave the k list, I find sometimes it
takes a lot of time to go through so much mail, but encounters like this
makes it so wonderful, and being able to communicate with such wonderful
people with such knowledge and love for one another..(there are a
few.... exceptions of course... he he) but that we encounter
everywhere... part of the characters in the play of Counciousness..
I would love to know your connection to get a teacher for Reiki in
Miami, and we will probably meet at So.Fallsberb, I am planning to go in
the summer also. I will visit your page.

Conference. The controversy comes ( from what I have heard) that Baba
Muktananda ordained Gurumayi and her brother to be the gurus of the
lineage, and then her brother supposedly did not commit to celibacy as
it is required in gurus ( I suppose...) and renouced his
guruness..Nevertheless he has another ashram. I read that gurus can go
stray and come back. I don't know much about this but as it came to me I
tell you. I only know that Gurumayi is wonderful and I got shaktipat
from her.
