Hello everybody, Ranbir,

Here is a description of Laghoo Shankhaprakshalana as requested. If you can
find a teacher it really helps, but if you follow the instructions carefully
you should be able to do ok anyway. Just make sure there are no medical
conditions or contra-indications (listed below)

Preparation
First you prepare two liters of salt water. You do this by first boiling the
water, then adding two teaspoons per every litre of water. (The exact amount
is 0.9% salt in the water, if you can measure this, it's even better) It is
-extremely vital- that you perform this on an empty stomach, so it is best
to do it in the morning, before eating.

The practice
First, quickly drink two glasses of the prepared salt water, preferably in a
single sweep, but if that's hard, just drink them as quickly as possible.
After that, you perform four asanas, in the following order:

1. Tiryaka Tadasana (Swaying palm tree) 5 times to each side
http://www.yahooyoga.com/yyh1b75.htm
Look at the above description, but with a few alterations. Don't stay in the
position.. Just perform the position as instructed, but keep it dynamic. It
can be done with the breath held, with breathing syncronised to the
movement, or with just regular breathing if this feels uncomfortable. Don't
strain it in any way

2. Kati Chakrasana (Waist rotating pose) 5 times each side
http://www.yahooyoga.com/yyh1b76.htm
Follow the instructions, and focus on the last part "This asana may be
performed in a more dynamic way by swinging rhythmically with the arms
without synchronizing the movements with the breath." This is the one to do
in Laghoo Shankhaprakshalana, not the slower one. It's very simple

3. Tiryaka Bhujangasana (Twisting Cobra pose) 5 times each side
http://www.yahooyoga.com/yyh1c12.htm
Perform this pose as instructed, but make sure to do it dynamically.
Breathing in when going up, breathing out when going back down. This is a
reasonably advanced asana and can be difficult for some people, so make sure
to not strain or force the position in any way. It is important to -first-
go up, then turn, then turn back, then go back down, in that order.

4. Udarakarshanasana, 5 times to each side
http://www11.plala.or.jp/poorna/udarakarshanasana.html
Perform as instructed, dynamically

After you have done this, drink another two glasses of the salt water, and
perform this series of Asanas once more! Then again, completing the
practice in three rounds!

On completing the practice
After you have completed the practice, make sure to rest half an hour or so
before taking any food or drink, and it's probably best if you take only a
light meal, for example, rice with ghee is good, since it will assist in
returning grease lining to your intestines..

On bowel movement!
Sometimes bowel movement may come during the practice, if that happens,
interrupt the practice, answer the call of nature and then continue. It may
take time for the water to pass through, and it may feel a bit uncomfortable
for a while, but after a while it will pass through, and after some time
there will be only water coming through, slightly muddled. Make sure to not
try to force the bowel movement, let it come naturally on its own.

Contra-indications
If you have any medical condition you should consult with your doctor and/or
qualified teacher, in particular if you take medication.. Also, it should be
avoided during pregnancy

Short description:
* Prepare saline water
* Drink two glasses of salt water
* Perform the 4 asanas
* Repeat 2 times (3 rounds all together)
* Wait for bowel movement
* Rest
* Eat half an hour after the practice (rice with Ghee is good for the first
meal)

Good luck!
With love
Gustaf
