I had a funny snake dream while staying with my daughter-in-law in January.
In the dream I was running after a snake that had eaten of all things my
feminine napkins. I ran after that snake as if my life depended on catching
it
and getting what was mine back. I felt as if something very dear to me had
been taken.
My grandson joined me in the chase and then his girlfriend and my son. My
son caught the snake. He rolled the snake from the tail until it gave up the
stolen booty. My son was cheered by everyone as the hero of the day and was
carried home on the shoulders of some men.
I laughed about this with my daughter-in-law at breakfast the next morning
but secretly I was thinking that maybe the dream had something to do with
menopause. Although I think I am too young for the onset of menopause it
wouldn't surprise me all that much because - in my mind - I should be too
young for Alzheimer's and stroke too but my body keeps betraying me in spite
of my actual age.
In March she and my son found out she was pregnant.
I think maybe it was a passing of the torch dream. Before getting the good
news I
became interested in the Triple Goddess while researching menopause and it
all came together in a neat package. I guess I may be crone material, even
though - in my mind - I am still a maiden.
I have not had symptoms of menopause but even so I feel like the dream has
given me an early preparation for when it does occur.
