I think we get confused between The energies lying dormant in the body (that
need to be released), And cause and affect,

Cause and effect is instant for every reaction there is an equal and
opposite reaction, Some people for example lead terrible lives and commit
many wrongs without any comeback (karma).

But then I think there is the 'karma' that Michelle is trying to describe,
i.e. the latent energies stuck within the body that must be released (let go
of) in order to move on.

These are the ones we can focus on, and heal.
As you rightfully say we cannot and should not take joy or meaning from
cause and effect, it is pointless (and of no use to the soul).

But we shouldn't get stuck in wordplay. "Karma" is just another word for
"Reap what you sow." It shouldn't be seen as some senseless system of
retribution. There are consequences to doing wrong, but if you can
really change from the traits that made you mess up in the first place,
they shouldn't be necessary anymore.
