Dear Jason,

It is amazing to me how "threads" weave through not only this List, but through thoughts and conversations that whip around the world! Excellent post, mate!

I was having one of my many discussions with a retired Methodist pastor about how, if people really understood, everyone is made of the same "intelligence" -- the Changeless. This knowing would obviate all war, all hate, all greed. I was talking with him about talking with a member of the congregation who truly believes (concerning the war in Iraq) that it's better to get them before they get us. I said this was a fear of death. He asked if I was afraid of dying, and I answered, "of course not, why?" Altho' he tries to understand me and my "K Condition" he really doesn't understand the whole picture. This wonderful man attended my Course in Miracles group a year ago.

The point I'm making, I guess, is that for most people, the ego is SO strong and powerful, unfortunately, the mirror remains cloudy...the veil is never lifted...and most live in darkness until the next time, and the next time, and the next.

I remain in a state where I hold on to impatience for things to change, and I guess that is of the ego as well. Still, perhaps it's better to be impatient and love them anyway than to not care and dismiss the lot.

Love,

Hety

Reminds me of that quote from A Course in Miracles:

"Nothing real can be harmed,
"Nothing unreal exists.

And a quote from Joseph Cambell:

Joseph Cambell: I no longer need faith.
Bill Moyers: Why is that?
Joseph Cambell: Because I have great experience

Faith is the bridge through which the "knowingness" or intuition is gained.
Merely have Faith that you CAN "Know" and then it becomes obvious
That faith is a tool.
A way to "fake it till you make it"

That Which Is Real

Let each dawn bring a new birth.
Let each hour bring a new dawn.
The minutes passing are each a chance
To Serve,
To Remember,
To Know
That all our noise and activity,
Is but a silent breath
In a vast eternity.
And that which is real,
Is truly only that which is Changeless
