    Welcome to the list, Michael.

Sure, that is possible... awakening does not necessarily mean full
awakening, mind you... but full awakening (defined as K reaching to the
crown chakra) can be done in 15 minutes, with an appropriately receptive
person. Opening all the chakras fully instead of partly does take longer...
shifts of consciousness take time to be integrated, or psychosis can result.

     Odd motive...

   Cool. Did you enjoy it?

Using K to influence the free will of another is unwise... to say the
least!

    Stick? What do you mean?

I feel that it may have been, but you were not ready, so the energy has
subsided till some time in the future when you are ready. On the other
hand, it may have been simply contagious charisma, chi not K.

Hmm.. I see a projection here. You are questioning the morality of the
Shaktipat Master, but not your own motivation in using the gift for the
control of another for the purposes of material gain... or the disrespect
inherent in your asking for Shaktipat out of cynicism.

>Furthermore, he makes money out of awakenings (and kundalini healing as

A Guru has to eat, too... :) "The labourer is worthy of their hire." In
the East, donations to the Guru are expected, and symbolic of the seeker
laying their life and all of their material goods at the feet of the Guru.
Most Christian churches suggest the member tithe 10% of their income to the
church... I know of few other teachers who expect so much.

I make my living by my talents and knowledge too, just as anyone would.
I charge a flat hourly rate for my time and attention. What miracles
Goddess does through me in that time, is for Her own accounting to handle.
I cannot "sell" Goddess, and spiritual information is available free, to
anyone who seeks... a million websites, public libraries, etc. mean anyone
can get information anytime...

Others may choose differently, I know some healers feel that charging
for the work is not right for them, but it is right for me... and it kind
of works as a nice filter, natural selection. I prefer to give
my attention to people who are sincere enough to "put their money where
their mouth is." Not to say I never work for free, actually I do, about 90%
of the time, and this list and website is part of that...

but there is another consideration, which is that someone who is so
deep in scarcity consciousness poverty that they feel unable to invest in
their own spiritual process, is probably not ready for what I have to
offer. Better for me to donate to the Food Bank instead.

There is a tradition of this, in many cultures. In some magical
traditions, a seeker cannot receive initiation unless they are a "proper
person" which includes being able to work, support themselves and pay their
bills. Maslow's hierarchy of evolution puts food, shelter, etc. at the
bottom of the pyramid, higher spiritual attainment cannot be until basic
necessities of the body have been handled.

The Buddhist tradition of wandering monks with begging bowls, is a
wonderful way to get them past issues of scarcity consciousness by proving
to them that "Goddess provides." It is a tremendous leap of faith that is
well rewarded.

Well, you experienced it. Was it dangerous?

>I would understand that his services could help a lot of people, but

That would have more to do with what is being taught, than with what
compensation is given to the teacher.

I hope you have found the responses to be helpful.
