Dear Elargonauto,

Well, gradually, I think, we learn not to try to move the piano. ;) Perhaps that is the lesson of kriyas. Kundalini shows us that there are still areas of our psyche that need work. It does the work for us when it gives us spontaneous kriyas, but gradually we learn not to take on the extra "pianos" that have to be moved.

Well, some of us are more attuned to our bodies than others. :)) Sometimes those undergoing K forget to eat or drink, so it's probably best to make sure we have at least the bare minimum of food and water.

I've found there are kriyas I can control and those I can't. Perhaps it depends on the strength of the energy. For me they always feel incredibly good, so I'm not all that much in a hurry for them to disappear. I think the important thing is to realize that kriyas and bliss are in many ways connected.

Swami Shivom Tirth in A Guide to Shaktipat writes:

"As the automatic movements become progressively more subtle, the aspirant experiences greater joy out of such movements though there are no outward signs of them. The aspirant is inwardly absorbed in bliss and the movements finally disappear after completing the process of purification of the disciple's mind." p. 23
