I agree but with a subtle variation:

You say: "The awareness or consciousness is moved from the waking state

I would put it the other way round, i.e. the waking state and the sleeping
state move through awareness;
and that the body consciousness no longer abides in awareness.

You might feel this nit picking but this is my experience of the process.
Awareness doesn't move.
