Thank-you Hillary, for such an excellent and all inclusive response.

<< Dear Carole, List,

Well, it's hard to figure why some of us have an easy time and some a really
difficult one. Part of it is, I'm sure, preparation. We in the West often
come upon meditation and Hatha Yoga outside its spiritual framework. We use
it
for "relaxation" or for exercise, but many of us haven't a clue as to the
what
its real potential is. When K awakes and we have no idea what is going on,
the fear factor takes hold, and all our symptoms become magnified and often
seen in negative light.

In the past practices such as meditation, Hatha Yoga, etc were shown only to
initiates who had knowledgeable teachers. We are now awakening a population
which is, on the post part, un-aware. This unfortunately includes most of
the
teachers as well. They are often as frightened as the person who is awakened
because they don't know what to advise. The fear is then passed on to the
person experiencing the energy. It's a little like an LSD trip going wrong
and
not having a guide to re direct him/her.

Those who do Hatha Yoga and other physical disciplines such as Qi Gong and
Tai Chi also may have an easier time of it because flexibility and body
control
seem to allow for easier passage of the energy. The body has been better
prepared.

There may also be a connection between childhood trauma and a more difficult
K awakening. More things to have to be cleared. More inner demons to have
to
release.

Or, it may simply be our genetic and/or psychological makeup. Some women,
for instance, have an easier menopause than others. It may be that the
symptoms
are less severe, or it may be because they are less disturbed by them, or a
bit of both. Change is often frightening, especially such profound changes
that K engenders. And when we try to fight it instead of using the change
for
our benefit, we find we are fighting against our Selves.

Love, Hillary >>
