Being new to the list I have found it interesting reading the varied
viewpoints, especially the virulent thoughts on female versus male and
menstruation. I have to admit that I don't understand where all the anger
comes from.

I like Lesley and Janet's thoughtful responses. Personally I don't see
the difference in the sexes. We have female and male, different
manifestations of our human existence. Yin versus Yang. I embrace the
differences. If we didn't have the differences in our sexes I would not
have had the loving relationships with the partners I've had in my life.

We're all just a pile of energy anyway. For me, looking at whether a
person is coming from a female or male perspective is superficial. What
is more important to me is where the person is coming from. One model I
tend to use is that we behave out of either love, fear or ego. If anger
or resentment emerges, is it out of fear or ego? I would think that these
emotions would not be based on love.

When I do my self-observations I ask myself which of the three am I
acting or speaking out of. My self-observation has helped me grow
tremendously. It has allowed me to learn an immense amount about the deep
issues that drive my behavior.

I like the middle path. I watch and observe - and love the world around
me. I am joyful when I can feel the embrace of the mother goddess as well
as when I feel the tremendous power of the Yang energy force in our
physical lives.

Namaste, Joel
