Dear Shelle,

For me the secret is in the realization that you simply *can't* loose it. It is always there, whether you feel it dramatically or feel it not at all.
Because everything is, inevitably, constantly changing, the pain arises from the misperception that just because the physical and/or metaphysical lift we once got no longer holds the power it once did, that it has deserted us.
We have simply gotten used to it, however--have developed past it so to speak, and now are on to a new, quieter phase where we come back down to earth. The divine is also in that quiet, earthly, day to day existence. It is where we should be at this particular juncture. These things are very often cyclical.

"I have also been quite depressed by my constant failings. I could be so much better than I am, to my child, to my husband. I have great intentions and I fail, daily. "

Every one of us constantly fails in one way or another--from dropping a pencil to yelling at our loved ones. :)) It's the nature of being human. All we can do is do the best we can even though it inevitably never can be quite good enough! :)) Our actions/reactions are based on hundreds of small, seemingly inconsequential events. How we react is simply a byproduct of all those events. Here the secret is to accept the perfection in that very imperfection and be comfortable with it.

Hope this helps a bit.

Love, Hillary
