Dear Charles,

I agree with Jack that it is variable. Some people can control them within reason, and others can't.

In my case, they *seem* to be under my control :)) but if I don't go along, the energy simply becomes stronger, and sometimes uncomfortable. I will often wake up at night in yoga type positions.

Jack's description of oscillating is somewhat similar to my spine flexing--mostly forward/back. One purpose of Kriyas seems to be keeping the spine flexible for the easier movement of the energy. Hatha Yoga really helps with this.

Jack writes:

"However, the strong recommendation is that there should not be any
abrupt termination or forcing of any Kriya or Kundalini activity.
Guiding or control of Kundalini activity should be gentle (sometimes
firmness is also required or suggested)."

I agree. Someone recently mentioned to me that when the kriyas became too frenetic for her body, that she gradually slowed them down to the same movements but in a slower, more controlled fashion.

My feeling is that if the energy is working on one side of the body, that that is the side that needs working on! The energy seems to know what it is doing!

Love, Hillary
