Charles,

Some people do have uncomfortable and uncontrollable Kriyas (and other
Kundalini activity).

In my personal experience, the Kriyas are generally controllable
(approximately from 0% to 10% depending on the particular environment
and situation). If a Kriya starts then I can manually reduce/delay/stop
it at any time. It also works the other way in that I can manually
start/seed a Kriya (or Mudra, etc) and at some point it becomes
automatic and completes the rest of the session by itself.

However, the strong recommendation is that there should not be any
abrupt termination or forcing of any Kriya or Kundalini activity.
Guiding or control of Kundalini activity should be gentle (sometimes
firmness is also required or suggested).

If some activity is only on one side then it may be because there is a
blockage in the energy/light body. Most of my Kundalini activity in
general is symmetric.

Jack.
