Hi Laura,

I believe the word you were looking for was "intuition".

There are two ways to reach a conclusion. Logic or Intuition.

Logic is the slow plodding ox cart of the human mind, with all it's fallacies, doubts and dualities to be overcome one at a time. However, when we arrive at our destination we have arrived in relative safety.

Intuition requires more trust and less certainty. It is the power to leap from hilltop to hilltop like Tolkien's Bombadil, bypassing the muddy path and slow moving oxcarts below. But when we arrive at the destination suddenly we realize that there might have been some items along the ox cart path that may have been of interest to us or that might have guided us to a different destination.

Logic=Guidance of the Mind
Intuition=Guidance of the Heart

If I may be so bold as to quote something out of context:

"Let the Truth of Love be lighted,
"Let the Love of Truth shine clear...
  ...With the Heart and Mind united in
A single, perfect, sphere.
..............................Neil Peart/Rush/Hemispheres/1978

Bring logic and intuition into harmony and the way becomes swifter still.

Peace,
Jason B
