Hi Acara, Sabrina!
It is also said that all these norse/germanic gods/goddesses like Idun,
Fricka etc... and also the trickster Loki are all aspects of Allfather
Wotan/Odin. That means at one level, the Allfather and the other gods are
one in the old mythology. There is a sacred place in Germany called
"Externsteine", a former place for pagan worship. It is said that the Tree
of Life once stood there before the Romans chopped it down when they invaded
North Europe. After being used mainly as a tourist attraction this place
now becomes reactivated as a place for neo-pagan gatherings. There are
also still a lot of the old magic trees around there.
If someone of you should plan to visit this place, or Germany, please feel
free to contact me off-list.
