It was snowing today in New York. Which means today was much warmer than it has been. I had to get dressed up to go on a job interview. (Mystress, you would be proud of these boots I have.) So I spent the day in neighborhoods I don't usually frequent, walking, watching people, little interactions with random strangers. It's really an amazing place to live, a great place to get lost in. And a nice place to leave and come back to as well.

My apartment windows overlook ground zero, it's covered in snow right now. I would be sooooo thrilled if it were a Gaudi building that went up there. Somehow I missed news of that entry - how absolutely marvelous!! I had an ecstatic epiphany when I first stumbled across Gaudi's buildings in Barcelona as a teenager. Although I didn't follow through with it - I had the ambition for several years to be a worker on the Sagrada Familia. I loved that it didn't have a roof - just ground and sky, circled in these great sandcastle spires. Yum.

X.
