Subject: [k-list] what is pain for?
From: Susan Carlson

On 2003/01/26 18:30, Susan Carlson posted thus to the K-list:

Acara: I've channelled energy to terminally ill
people, knowing that their will and the greater Will,
at that point, was waiting out the final curtain call.
In other words, that both of us accepted that fact.
It is not an experience I seek, but when they seek me,
we both know, so it becomes an acceptance of their
pain, an easing of the last part of their journey. So
many of us, me included at one time, shrunk from
terminally ill people.

Nurses deal with this on a daily basis, I know. Do
you channel energy to those in pain?

Susan: A patient expired on me yesterday. I was taking her blood pressure because she was a bit bluish in the skin and lethargic; she turned her head away from me and stopped breathing. I had just been questioning her about her left shoulder pain. She rated it a 6 out of 10. Although she had a living will and did not wish to be resuscitated, the doctor who was outside the room looking at a chart, decided to treat her with a lytic which dissolves blood clots. The doctor's assumption was she just had a large pulmonary embolus..a blood clot in the lung..and that it was reversible. He was right and she died anyway while we still honored her wishes of not pumping on her chest, not shoving an airway tube down her throat and not shocking her with the defibrillator.

We tried, a team of 10 of us, to bring her back. She was 85 and not really sick, She had been talking and fine just 15 minutes earlier. Death can come that quick and suddenly. I had visited with her daughter in the room just an hour earlier.

No, I didn't channel energy into her during the process of trying to resuscitate her. I will if someone asks me whether with a verbal request or a message to my heart. It didn't seem appropriate.

Later, after the coroner released the body, I went into the room to make her pretty and presentable before her family came to view the body. Wipe up the blood on the floor...close the eyes, comb the hair, clear the clutter of life preserving out of the room, dress her, arrange her body and her face into a peaceful repose...erasing the grimace off her face with my fingers...pull the covers up to her chin...place her hands and arms outside the blankets so her family can touch them...things like that.

I was aware during this process of her in the room...her essence hovering above me.
I began an ancient ritual of clearing and transmutation that I have practiced for over ten years. I was taught this process by an indigenous Hawaiian Kahuna.

What is unique about this ritual is I must acknowledge that I am 100% responsible for this problem situation. What that means that source of this problem are erroneous thoughts within me, not my patient. What healers never seem to notice is that every time there is a problem they are present!

There are karmic pattern clearing that must take place in the healer which results in love flowing between them and their client. This healing that takes place within me creates love, restoring and renewing me and then this creates the space for the client to self heal themselves.

As I worked with myself in clearing my karmic patterns that I had with this 'deceased' patient I felt the room become lighter and lighter in character.

The nurse supervisor came into the room a little bit later and looked at the body. "She looks so pretty, relaxed."

I have ethical issues about healing and energy that has to do with consent and free will. Maybe this event yesterday illustrates why a little.

I operate my life and my relationships according to the following insights:

1. The physical universe is an actualization of my thoughts.
2. If my thoughts are cancerous, they create a cancerous physical reality.
3. If my thoughts are perfect, they create a physical reality brimming with LOVE.
4. I am 100% responsible for creating my physical universe the way it is.
5. I am 100% responsible for correcting the cancerous thoughts that create a diseased reality.
6. There is no such thing as out there. Everything exists as thoughts in my mind.

Be well.

Love,
Susan
