The emphasis is on the word "perception". Perception of reality doesn't
really have all that much to do with actual reality. It seems safe to
hold on to the reality that is commonly accepted, even if we tend to
wander from it on occasion. I think dwelling on various imaginary
"planes" is attachment to ego, to the power of thought, and
abstractions. Pure awareness includes the realization that there is no
mind, and feeling the liberation/pure light induced by that realization.

Note that I'm not denying the reality of paranormal phenomena (though I
remain sceptical in most cases). It's just that they are often explained
away with weird abstractions, stories of various planes, planets and
other groovy things... mostly based on guessing. Were I confronted with
a paranormal phenomenon like you were, I would still firmly interpret
that the ghosts/demons doing the mischief are of the same transient
quality we are, a form of matter bubbling against the cosmos.

K allows one to access unexplored areas of the subconscious. Remember
that we have a lot of evolution behind us, we carry around a lot of
stuff in our brains that "accepted norms of society" are unfamiliar with.

I must confess I haven't really accessed any other planes or anything,
and really don't have any will to do it either. I regard my mental
experiences with K highly subjective, and try not to interpret any of
them. I have no desire to interpret them because I have no questions
regarding the nature of reality. I have experienced samadhi and know
(spiritually) how this thing called reality works (bold statement
indeed, and I really only expect the ones that have experienced
samadhi/satori/unnamed_peak_experience to understand what I mean).
