Hi Sherri,

Can't tell you how many times, usually nights, I thought I had gout. I worried about gout to the point of ...probably making myself gouty! <g> My father has gout and later in life developed kidney or bladder stones, I don't know which. There was also a time in my life when I wore really high heeled shoes to work and thought the pain came about from them. I knew nothing about Kundalini in my young twenties. So here I am now, only wearing the most comfortable hiking boots or Aerosoles, don't eat that much red meat and even take potassium citrate (along with my Dalmatian boy)....and what happens? The toe pain turns into a full blown flaming energy that runs up my left leg and explodes into colors in my mind. Nope. Don't think it's gout anymore!

Rita makes a good point -- get it checked, what, with a simple blood test? You could test your own urine first, with a pH strip. If you're into the "acid" range, anything under 6.0, you may want to look at the gout thing. A good place to be is about 7.5 pH. Test early morning and not after a glass of wine or a bowl of tomatoes or a can of sardines! <g> All of the above will put you into the 4.0 range if you've got gout tendencies -- my Dal boy drinks wine regularly and it's just an awful thing to test his pH. I have to test his breath first.

Ah well, very long post about The Toe. I should tell you that when the toe pain turned into a burning torch I was absolutely certain I controlled life --- and death. So what did that mean? ;-)

Much love,

Hety

You might check on gout (or gouty arthritis) depending on your diet.
Common causes of pain in the big toe, as well as poorly fitting shoes
or bunions. Those could be some alternatives to K for toe pain,
especially in the big toe. Check with your primary physician, of
course.
