Subject: [K-list] Bliss attacks
From: Karolina Lindqvist

I just had the worst bliss attack I have had in a long time, just for no
obvious reason at all. Is there anyone else who has them?
(this really sounds like a stupid question, but I just have to ask)

Maybe it is a side effect that I have taking up meditation practices again. My
chakras start to align themselves again, or whatever.
It does not make life better, but with the bubbly champagne-like Shakti bliss
energy in my veins, I really don't care. It's like the ultimate drug. When
you have felt it once, you get hooked. You just run around and look for more,
and really don't care what people think.

It happened me the first time when I was twenties, or something. After a love
affair going sour, when I figured that the object of my love was not worth
it, and only God was, so I turned my love towards God. God was something
quite undefined, omnious, at that time. But the bliss-state lasted for a
week, or something. Not at all so intense as now, but it was new to me, and
really something outstanding. Since that, my concept of "God" has evolved
quite a lot.

In hindu writings, the "God" energies are threefold, eternity, knowledge and
bliss, and you can get hit by all of them. Actually, with true spiritual
advancement, you should get all three of them, but they might come in
different degrees.

This is just from my experience, and how I interpret it:

Eternity is nice. You just know that you are eternal. An eternal spiritual
spark of energy. It can't be described. It is an energy. You feel it, know
it. It is quite soothing, after having run around as a human, thinking there
is such a hurry since you only get one life.

Knowledge comes as you start to understand spiritual things. It just starts to
make sense. Maybe it comes through a kind of channeling knowledge. Knowledge
just appears in you when you need it. When it appears, it is unquestionable.
You feel 100% sure of it. Your intelligence and mind might say -- wait a
second, you can't be so sure about something -- but within yourself, the
unexplicable sureness is there. A "purified" person can probably channel it
without alterations, but a person like me mix it with my own learning and
intelligence and it comes out less perfect. It is usually still call perfect.
Just kind of diluted.

Bliss. Well, for me it is a kind of (low) background steady state sometimes,
when I do spiritual practices and turns my consciousness in that direction,
and then it comes in attacks when I don't expect it. :-)

All energies are quite overwhelming.
