Dear Sabrina,

This might help:

http://www.kheper.net/topics/Taoism/microcosmic_orbit.html

My energy circulates also and doesn't really want to ground.

The following is from the introduction to *TAO, The Chinese Pholosophy of
Time and Change by Philip Rawson and Laszlo Legeza.* It also gives a similar
diagram.

"In Taoism sex, medicine and mysticism are intimately woven together. The
human body, like the world it inhabits, is permeated by energies. They pass
through it from outside, sweeping its doings, thoughts and history along in
their process...

<interesting stuff snipped>
.....

"The meditator starts the circulation by 'sending his thought' around a track
which rises up from the base of the spine to the top of the head, and
descends through the upper lip and the front of the chest, to the root of the
sexual organ. From there it goes into the lowest crucible, helping the
condensation of the ching. Then it sets off again to the base of the spine,
and so on. The energy derived from the breath is gradually identified with
the 'thought'. As the circulation becomes more vigorous, and the energy
ceases to be mere 'thought', it becomes a true 'inner fire', and its channel
becomes more definite. The spinal column, in particular, turns into a
magnificent road of ascent to a range of magical mountains which rise beyond
the head. These represent the ultimate home of the immortal 'mountain man'.
The road up passes through three gates. The lowest is at the base of the
spine; the second in the back; the thrid, the Jade gate, is where the spine
joins the skull.

"The whole circulation becomes a passage through twelve stages, each
represented by one of the I-ching hexagrams. As the energy rises up the
spine, so the yang content increases. As it descends down the front channel,
so yin replaces yang......

"The fused and transformed ching-ch'i-shen substance then rises up the
mid-channel to the topmost crucible. Circulating there, it, so to speak,
intersects with the vast orbit of the Original cosmic ch'i and shen of the
Tao. From this meeting a pair of liquid radiances flower, one named silver
and one named gold, sometimes moon and sun. A special ambrosia gathers in
the mouth like saliva. This must be swallowed down the front subtle channel
into the lowest crucible...."

Hello,

Perhaps I was unclear about the direction my cord seems to go. It
actually does curve backwards and up, like a puppy dogs tail..I have
not yet done as you suggested 'cause I'm at work! I was grounded lat
night when I first noticed it though. It does seem to curve into my
heart chakra, crown chakra, and the chakra at the medulla oblongata.
Other times it seems to loop up over my head and goes into my heart
at the front. Weird, huh? It seems as if my cord is trying to ground
from whichever chakra is most active at any given time. Silly
cord.........the darn thing won't drop and go into the ground!!!So
I'm using my feet chakras like magnets to pull energy up from the
earth until I can go home and figure this thing out. It's funny
though, last week I was noticing that when I bring the energy down
from the sun and into my torso, it works pretty well. However, when I
try to bring it from the tailbone down to my feet I feel a huge
energy gap between my tailbone and my feet. The energy block seem to
be in the hips mostly. No wonder I'm so freakin' high-
strung......'cause I'm literally high-strung!!!! :P :)
