Subject: [K-list] Meditation
From: HSV & AAL

On 2002/11/09 00:32, HSV & AAL posted thus to the K-list:

I did the ground meditation again just now. I haven't done
it several times a day yet because my day isn't quiet that
much. I only feel comfortable doing this when it's
completely quiet and dark. When I can set the stage the
way it feels right. This means waiting til night-time,
clearing off the desk except for my three votive candles,
lighting some incense and the candles, lowering my computer
chair a bit so that my short legs can reach the floor, etc.
I know it doesn't have to be dark, but night-time resonates
with me as if I belong there. Night-time is peaceful, filled
with the beauty and power of the Goddess.

And it's still taking me approximately 40 minutes to do my
visualization. I'm very easily distracted, even when there
isn't anything to distract me. I keep finding myself re-
doing what I just did. Going back a step, or back to the
beginning of the step I'm on, and re-visualizing it. I do
this with reading books, too. It's hard for me to keep a
visual in my head, and continue to see all of it. I'm not
so good at multi-tasking at the moment. But I do eventually
get it done and it feels wonderful.

Anyway, I just wanted to ask a few things about it. I JUST
finished my meditation not 5 minutes ago. My feet are still
tingling, and my fingers are still tingling some, too. But
I'm doing that "jiggling leg" thing like you might see a
person do when they're anxious. I don't think I feel anxious.
Is that normal? Being honest with myself, I don't feel as
at peace as I did last time. I don't understand why. I did
all the details, I even felt the warmth of the light this
time, though I feel the warmth come up through my feet much
more than warmth on my head.

Also, I twitch during the meditation. Just different parts
of me twitch. A leg, or a foot, or a hand, a facial muscle,
etc. It seems random. Is this normal? And I feel some
strange tingling in other body parts, too, not just my feet
and hands. My thighs, my -inner- thighs to be exact, are
tingling right now. A place along my cheekbones. A place
on my forehead right about my right temple... sorta north-
west of the temple, above the outside corner of the eyebrow.
Has anyone experienced all these things too? Just curious.

Feeling all tingly,
