On 2002/08/22 22:02, HSV & AAL posted thus to the K-list:

** I'm having an inner debate with myself as to whether it is wise
** to respond to this. I believe very strongly in tolerance of
** the beliefs of others. However, to respond to this seems almost
** to go against that belief. It's a conundrum I have faced on
** numerous occassions. I enjoy the delusion that I am without
** prejudice, but delusion it is. I hold prejudice against those
** who are prejudiced. I hold prejudice against those who hurt
** others maliciously. And I hold prejudice against those who
** believe their way is the right/only way. In any event, if
** you are reading this, then my choice is obvious. With the
** above things in mind, please scroll down. =)

A path that has only one walker in the history of the universe is a very
loose definition of that term. I have a friend who teaches in the Religious
Studies department of the local university. He speaks of a religion with one
follower, the leader. It became a field of study when prisoners began making
up religions with odd "scaraments" to get to do things that were otherwise
against the rules for people put away from society for their sins against
other members of society.

** Who among us here is attempting to gain anything other than
** enlightenment and truth as it applies to ourselves? We all
** share our own theories with each other in an attempt to find
** our truth. I have had a theory for the last 5 or 6 years that
** all faiths and religions hold elements of truth and also elements
** of falsehood. None are completely right, none completely wrong.
** Based on this belief, I pick and choose pieces of faiths and
** religions that are true for me. I've also incorporated new
** aspects through explorative discussions with others that don't
** necessarily fall into any known religion or faith. These things
** may not be true for you, but that doesn't make them wrong for me.
** In the final analysis, we all have to live with our own choices.

That is one opinion. Changing the topic line each and every post hardly
follows net etiquette.

** It IS net'iquette for this list. Anyone who's been around the
** 'net to different forums and chats and e'lists knows that there
** are different rules for each, set by the Administrators. The
** Administrators set these specific rules for a reason. In this
** case, I imagine the rule to use appropriate topic lines was
** included because there are a lot of members, and quite a number
** of emails every day. When one of us wishes to search the
** archives for a particular subject, it makes things much easier
** to find. As I understand it, the Kundalini journey takes you
** through many different lessons and experiences. One never
** knows when a particular topic might need to be revisited.

** Anyway, I could say more but shouldn't. I hope you'll see
** this as another perspective rather than an attack. I feel
** no anger toward you and have no hostile or malicious intent.
