Early in the history of this list, we noticed how many of us had history of
migraine and/or epilepsy (thought by some to be related). My migraines have
been made much worse and more frequent by K. But, like you, I have had
incredible experiences of vision before and during migraine (so did
Hildegarde of Bingen, by the way). There is even a new novel about this
correlation by Mark Salzman about a nun whose visions are "cured" by migraine
treatment. This is not to say that I think visions are caused by migraine
activity because I've had plenty of them during normal times, too. But I
think the electrochemical changes during migraine/kundalini allow us to see
further. I'm reading a book that expresses similar ideas called "Touched
With Fire," by Kay Jamison about creativity and manic-depression. Another
commonality among many k-ites is the surge of highs and lows with awakening.
It all seems connected somehow and quite amazing!

On a more pedestrian note, after giving up alcohol and sugar, I'm now giving
up caffeine because this apparently can be a migraine trigger. I'll let you
know!! Holly
