Ida and Pingala do not cease to exist. They are there always.

As I pointed out before, englightened individuals, with completed K
processes (Bindhu and the whole 9 yards) still use techniques like ANB some
of the time to manipulate Ida and Pingala and thence Kundalini, via prana.

If they were merged, if energy was balanced all the time ANB would not be
necesary and we would have equal breath out of each side of our nose at all
times. That is not the case. Anyone can demonstrate that by holding the back
of their hand under their nose. More air will come out of one side than the
other (except in the rarest of times) for everyone, K awakened or not. Only
in a good meditation are they balanced, or in someone with an advanced K
process, when K is active, she balances things and the breath is balanced
automatically.

>What you are referring to is the vital energy of the kundalini.
>What I am referring to is the inner astral energy of the kundalini.

No offense but those two sentences make no sense to me. I'm talking about
Ida and Pingala. They are not any kind of energy. They are nadis.

>Ida and Pingala are astral nerves. But, Sushumna is an astral passage.
>These two can be merged into the central passage permanently.
>And, that is real kundalini.

No, a passage is NOT Kundalini. The Kundalini process is NOT Kundalini. Just
like an auto is a mode of transportation, it is not trip itself (regardless
of what the ads say). Sushumna is a pathway, a nadi, as are Ida and Pingala.
They have different natures and purposes but all are vital.

Ida and Pingala deal mostly with prana, not Kundalini. The best way, until
one has achieved enlightenment and can usually do so by will, to control
(influencing is probably a better term) Kundalini is through manipulation
using prana. In fact it is the only truly safe widely possible way to try to
control Kundalini.

Using Ida and Pingala is the best way to control prana, which can be used to
control K. Giving up the best tools to control the thing that influences
Kundalini would be a poor design indeed for someone whose K had just
awakened. The Creator doesn't do poor designs.

Namaste,
Joe
