    My conceptualization of that is the reverse... Consciousness is
feminine, energy is masculine... Like the Bible Genesis, in the beginning
there was the Void (womb) and from the void there came a voice
(consciousness) that said, "let there be light" (energy, male, matter.)

    Similarly, in Wicca, the Goddess is eternal, She is continually giving
birth to her consort, the Stag king who is born and dies with the changing
seasons. The God is that which is mortal, born and dies to be reborn
through the Goddess, just as the wheat is cut in fall and grows again in
spring. Thou art God, and the Goddess consciousness is eternal, the
nothingness. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it is always
changing forms, matter to energy and back, the wheel of life.

    Even the Christ figure is symbolic of the male sacrificial stag king,
crown of horns=thorns. The early Gnostics referred to the Holy Spirit as
God the Mother... which in Judeaism is Sophia, wisdom. Consciousness is
female.

   In Yoga, there is Shakti the womb of creation (consciousness, Yoni
emptiness), and Shiva the destroyer who is the cycle of death and rebirth,
Lingam wand of Light (energy).

   In nature, all of life begins with the female. Human fetuses are female
for the first 6 weeks after conception. Consciousness forming matter around
itself.
