Hello,

This may be a way of thinking, or a way of understanding, that is really not true to Christianity. One on hand, I'll agree with you, that there is a "separation" between the "God" of Christianity and Kundalini. But on the other hand, I would say that the terminology doesn't really describe anything. The "God" of Christianity IS God, He/She is also Buddha and Allah and Shiva and Goddess. There IS only one God, one Creator, one Higher Being. Kundalini is the Holy Spirit. So if there is a separation anywhere, it certainly isn't between the Christian God and the Holy Spirit because they are One. What do you think happened to the Disciples on Pentecost?

If people would only interpret Christianity the way it really should be interpreted, they would find that there is nothing outside of themselves that has any meaning. "Evil" and the "devil" have been "imagined" into forces or entities that act upon people rather than the acknowledgement that they are outward projections of the ego.

As far as the symbol goes, it may be interpreted in different ways. I'm certainly far and away light on the subject of Kundalini, however, my teacher did study with Yogi Bhajan for twenty years. Her interpretation of Kundalini doesn't include a serpent. Kundalini or Kundal is "the coiled hair of the Beloved." Also, their teachings of Kundalini emphasize the conscious awareness of our Divine Self, male and female. "This experience has been described as a divine marriage or the experience of a divine union with God or infinity."

Additionally, (I know, I know...) I'm reading Paramahansa Yogananda's autobiography, Autobiography of a Yogi -- a beautiful, beautiful life -- and it is most definitely emphasized that the "awakening" is an experience of joy, happiness and union with the Divine. Many quotations from the New Testament of the Bible are used, and obviously the Yogi was a Hindu.

Love,

Hety

A Fundamental Doctrinal opposition separates the God of Christianity
from Kundalini ..

The symbol which is Sacred to Kundalini is that which the Christian
Church doctrinally defines as Evil ..
