Dear Joe, Kristy,

Whew! LOL! Nothing like giving a K sensitized person a case of gargantuan
paranoia!

Kristy writes:

Yeah! These are pretty amazing. :)) Sometimes I see them as kalidoscopic
sheets of color--one after another. Other times I see them as living
patterns. Others simply as shards of colored glass explosions. Nothing to
be afraid of. I can't make sense of them either. I see this as part of the
"downloading into" syndrome. Perhaps we are being given information and
knowledge that it is unnecessary for us to "understand" on a conscious level.

I agree with Susan. K isn't something that takes kindly to "control" IMO!
You can request it to let up on occasion if it comes on too strong and fast.
It usually won't give you more than you can handle. In my case it will
usually let up on me when I'm ill, as it did this last week with a touch of
flu. It is standard to say that prana can be controlled, but not k. I can
control where the energy goes at times, but at others K does what it will--it
is totally overwhelming. I simply surrender to it. *It knows what it is
doing, without my interference.*

IMO, it is Fear which causes problems. Your K has been progressing really
beautifully! John Selby's book you are reading *Kundalini Awakening* is
subtitled *A Gentle Guide to Chakra Activation and Spiritual Growth* and I
think it is just that. It's a very good book. I think it's interesting that
he says that "most people in our society are fixated a great deal in the
fifth chakra, living in the world of concepts, thoughts, ideas, dreams, and
fantasies...for most of our moment-to-moment existence, we do tend to be lost
in thought, to be caught up in words, images, symbols--in the fifth-chakra
world of conceptual consciousness."

So it makes sense that in opening up this chakra you were having those
visions. An absolutely normal and healthy progression, imo. At this point
you may be opening up to some interesting and helpful guides. :))

As far as opening the chakras "in order" I often quote the following from *A
Guide to Shaktipat* by Swami Shivom Tirth

"All chakras are pierced simultaneously to various degrees. Work on some
chakras could be so slow that one may not experience anything. Some other
chakra may be pierced through more intensely, and the Kriyas related to that
chakra would be equally intense. Therefore, the aspirant could misunderstand
that even when a particular chakra is not pierced, another chakra which would
seem to be next on the ascending order is already pierced.
In the same way Shakti can be experienced flowing up and down. If it goes up
and one experiences a heavy head, one-pointed mind and bliss, it does not
mean that the lower chakras were not pierced and that shakti reached the top
without going through the lower chakras. The truth is that the lower chakras
were definitely pierced to some extent."

Fearing death--both physical and ego death is perfectly normal. :)) K will
take you through this portal when the time comes.

Relax and enjoy! :))

Love, Hillary
