Hi Sandi,

Easy question first: A remote valley in central Norway.

Next question :). First a little explanation, hope it clicks for you:
Jiminy Cricket, Pinochio's little buddy _guided_ him towards being a real
boy.

I think you are asking how to discover\acknowledge\contact your guide\s.
<Ouch! Slash attack!>

Here is a simple 3 part excercise to tune you into what's happening on your
guide level:

1. Sit still, go into your 'prayer zone' or 'meditative state' by whatever
name you know it.
2. Imagine a pillar of light, directly over your head, make it bright white,
no brighter than that, a bit more...good. This is an extreme holy zone.
Imagine that you feel the holiness as the light descends upon you and
embraces you. Relax a bit and enjoy it.
3. Imagine there is a supreme source of holiness, ask that sourse to reveal
your guide\s to you and see them come into focus in the pillar of light
above you. Ask this or these personages to go into the light and return to
instruct you (don't except excuses such as 'I'm already in the light.').

That's it. Come out of your reverie. Recontact by use of this excercise a
few times a day, or as often as you wish until you can retain a continuous
sense of being in contact with your guides. Ask your guides for insight that
will help you to making useful decisions.

The more you keep in constant contact the easier it is to ride the wave.
Your perception of suffering can and will be transformed into an
acknowlegement of what is happening, and rather than being buffeted by the
waves you will have sung into slumber the sea.

Love and Blessings,

Kenneth

Oh, ah, you mentioned unfamiliarity with terminology... in my prior post:
mantras=vocalizations, asanas=body positions, and my take on it is everyone
has a guide, just a matter of getting the telephone in order.
