Subject: Essential nutrients Paging Mr. Bozzi Re: [K-list] Anyone else with this?
From: lionessbleu1

On 2002/05/27 16:54, lionessbleu1 posted thus to the K-list:

The essential fatty acids found in lecithin or flax seed oil are
nervous system health enhancers which will make a more optimum
environment for k flow. Taking one or the other "amps" me up more
than caffeine without the caffeine tenseness and hangover. So I only
take this stuff in the morning and never before I go to bed at night.

I also have increased my intake of fresh fruit...it is about 80% of
my diet now and it has unbelievably boosted my energy levels. I find
grains and beans have an opiate like effect on my body so I stick
with the green non starchy veggies. I probably eat some free range
meat once a week for grounding purposes. Don't eat much dairy or
eggs...makes me feel low.

I wasn't aware that around 50% of our bodies energy needs are used
for digestion. I just found that out recently. That might be why I am
feeling more energetic because I am eating lighter, easier to digest
foods.

I have been k awake for years and years. It tells me what to eat. My
body seems not to be burning as much fire as it used to but it does
when I work as a healer with people and then I need denser food. I
also need denser concentrated food a week or ten days before my
menstrual cycle.

Calcium must be a more asorbable kind like calcium gluconate. Calcium
carbonate that is found in Tums and most supplements is difficult if
not impossible for the body to absorb.

Calcium and magnesium are essential for muscle relaxation. I take
1500 mg of calcium and about 500 mg of magnesium before I go to bed
at night. This relaxes my muscles so they don't cramp and get
restless. It also makes me so relaxed that I sleep through the whole
night. This has worked more effectively for me than using potassium
supplementation and loading up on the bananas.

Calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, chloride are all cell salts
that keep the fluid in our body in a state of effiecent
electroconductivity. These minerals are also called electrolytes.
They are in balance in a very narrow range and once we get out of
this range by even a small degree we become symptomatic. Because k
has electromagnetic qualities and is conducted through the central
nervous system (brain and spinal cord) we can probably assume safely
that supplements that help these areas will help someone with k
problems.

Maybe Mr. Bozzi, the k list house nutrition god would comment?
