I've heard that when K is aroused, you need proper balance of nutrients in
your diet even more then you would otherwise- and that physical health is
important. This isnt the first time I've read potassium is especially
important. I've also heard calcium supplements are good for K. Can anyone
add or elaborate?

Hi Everyone,

I have to comment on this one...the answer may be simple. Bananas. Yes,
it's all no bananas! Well, at least it sounds to me like a potassium
depletion as well as perimenopause. You didn't say how old you are, so I
may be "jumping the gun" as it were? It wouldn't hurt to up your potassium
intake (potassium citrate is very good to balance pH and the benefits of
taking this natural supplement are incredible) as well as putting about one
tablespoon of ground flaxseed in your food every day. Also -- exercise!
;-)

Love,

Hety

Anyway, what I've got is partly what i've been calling restless leg
syndrome. i have classically restless legs at night, and crawling
sensations. but it is to such intensity that the surface muscles of my
calves jump and twitch. it looks like an electrical storm when you look at
my calves. That much has been going on for a year or so, now.

What has been happening for the last couple of weeks now is major leg and
foot cramps almost every morning, during the early morning hours -- 4-5-6
a.m. Dreadful way to wake up! ;) Kind of like a charlie horse in the
calf, but doesn't leave pain behind like a charlie horse does.
