hi Jason,

this effect is exactly what is accomplished when pronouncing the "om" mantra
as "a-u-n-g"...

pronouncing the "m" consonant keeps the tongue down flat on the front and
bottom of the mouth... when the consonant is changed to "n-g", the tongue
must touch up to the back of the roof of your mouth in order to make the
sound... this sends the sound up into where the nasal cavities open at the
back of a person's throat... the sound then travels out through the nose as
it vibrates the entire nasal cavity and stimulates the pineal gland...

anyway, it sounds like similar results can be obtained either way, and i
don't mean to get into a disagreement about which pronunciation is better...

when i first heard this idea about Tibetan monks pronouncing it in this
different manner, it seemed strange and foreign to me after using the more
common sound for so long... but i was truly amazed at the results i found
after trying it... so i am a bit enthusiastic about sharing this information
which has been so important to me...

warmly,

percyval
