Subject: [K-list] Aquarian Times is Hiring A Graphic Artist

Aquarian Times, the world's only magazine featuring Kundalini Yoga, is
hiring a Graphic Artist to work at the corporate office in Espanola,
New Mexico, starting immediately. This is a full time, salaried
position with a private office.

Responsibilities include design and production of an 80-page, 2-color,
quarterly magazine which requires monitoring print production from
conception to pre-press files; also design and production of a variety
of spiritually-oriented brochures, flyers, books, and business papers
for Sikh Dharma businesses and 3HO events. This position reports
directly to the Editor-in-Chief of Aquarian Times. Candidate must
have the ability to maintain grace under deadline pressure, as well as
organize and coordinate related pre-press production activities.

Candidate must have experience in print media and desktop publishing
and must provide a portfolio showing layout and graphic design, art
direction, topography, and color theory. Candidate will be required
to demonstrate skills using QuarkXPress, Adobe Photoshop 6, and Adobe
Illustrator 9 for Macintosh. Equipment used: Macintosh G4; Umax Astra
3400 flatbed scanner; Nikon LS-2000 slide scanner; and LaCie CD
burner.

A major perk of this position is the opportunity to live and work with
the large international community in Espanola, home of Yogi Bhajan,
Summer Solstice, Peace Prayer Day, Women's Camps, Teacher Training
Courses, and many other 3HO and Sikh Dharma events.
