Having now read MAS's essays on empathy, ego, the shadow and projections....... I'm actually a lot clearer about my mirror question but equally interested to hear others interpretations if you wouldn't mind sharing.

From my readings, it seems like we are constantly walking a narrow jetty between two seas of damnation on either side!! Empathy is a good thing as long as........ otherwise you will be hit by......... and it won't feel good. Oh for a straight forward answer to life :-)))) It seems the only peacful way to live is to walk around with no opinions, focussed inwardly and with all energy on oneself..... agghhhhh
