Hi,
I don't really know the difference, and I don't really have much
experience, but why not get the best of both worlds? Is it possible to
focus on both? Perhaps you will still feel that void, but the heart focus
might tone it down to safe levels... I know of some energy raising
meditations that focus on each chakra from base up, spending some time
with each chakra untill they're all open. Mayby you chould start with your
heart chakra and then expand your mind to your crown. Might have some
interesting effects. *hugs* don't take my word, cause I don't know... just
thinking.

Peace and Serenity,
   Keith
