Anything you are comfortable with will work. I usually say "Thank you
Goddess for this food and for the appetite that makes it taste good." If I
am feeling fancy, I will thank all the plants animals, farmers and
providers who brought it to my table, and the abundance that pays for the
groceries.
With water I will do the same, also holding it in my hands and putting
light into it, and sometimes spirals. Water likes to travel in spirals,
that is why rivers that have been artificially straightened tend to overrun
their banks.
Blessed water tastes sweet, and seems to disappear as soon as it hits
your throat. Blessed food is more digestible.

Why ask why? I am not crazy about the "learning" model of life
experience. So much of Kundalini is not about learning, so much as about
casting aside what you think you know, to make room for new information. On
a soul level you already know everything, you forget all that to come here
and have experiences. Learning is just remembering what you already
know. Teaching, is reminding others that they know it too.
I think life is about experiences, especially experiences of love.
Certainly, you can use the technique on sports injuries and accidents.
It clears the trauma so healing can happen more quickly.

Well, I recognised myself in the Indigo child paradigms, and I was born
in the 60's. At the time I considered that perhaps some of us Indigos came
in early, to pave the way... but these days I think the whole "Indigo
child" thinking is a paradigm, an explanation for certain behaviors that
may or may not be true.

Blessings..
