Jennifer--

Admirable goal...I am wondering if you can connect the idea of spirituality
with cultural difference--you know, like the book "The Spirit Catches You
and You Fall Down" which is about how the Hmong people (an Asian culture)
believe that medical illness must be cured by spiritual means, and how these
means can sometimes interfere with medical interventions. It's a book whose
message is, if you want people to be compliant with doctors'
recommendations, you need to be able to understand and incorporate their
spiritual/cultural beliefs into your treatment plan. This is not so much a
catchy title as a way to "sell" the idea of spirituality's importance and
relevance to the Establishment.

Let's see. Catchy titles:

"Mental illness and Divinity--Touched in the head or touched by God?"

"Psychology and Pspirit"

"Evolutionary crisis: developmental milestones and spirituality"

"How many MHCs can sit on the head of a pin? Spiritual dimensions of mental
health"

Just a few ideas...

Good luck!

Love,
Elizabeth
