A lot of certain religions are poked at with a righteous stick because
many of its members are ignorant, or believe in a wildly oppressive
lifestyle, or don't really care and use their supposed religion to
flaunt-"Look at the cool new religion I found! What would Zeus do?" It's
easy to fall into that pouty/angry, "My beliefs are solid and serious and
dammit, nobody pays me any special attention!"

My latest saying, the one I've been employing in my passive pursuit to
enlightenment, is "Fuck it." Its meaning to me is different, of course,
from the literal. I don't mean to express a negative attitude by saying
it, or that I'm going to fornicate with the situation, but to remind
myself not to affirm or deny but to find the space between that is
neither. I'm trying to wear away the stone and turn it to water.
Everything fixed in my mind before will become fluid.
Something bad happens? Fuck it. Something good happens? Fuck it. What do
I like? Fuck it. What don't I like? Fuck it.

We're all humanimals, and we all spring from the same basic source if you
follow a backward gaze. We all have no idea why anything at all exists.
Most of us are very, very confused. The only thing to seperate us is how
we deal with that confusion. Compensate and be limited. Grind it down
over time and have a wider range of movement. The choice is there for
everybody; what is sketchy to ME as an individual is any kind of attempt
to convert a person in an intervention-like environment simply because
the converter needs to feel good about themselves. Like some kind of
spiritual savior. "I believe," Instead of "You oughta believe" helps
situations like that. If the attitude going into the situation on either
part is "I'll make them believe no matter what. I'll break through that
denial and get 'em!" I recommend the following steps:

1) Open your ears and heart.

2) Open your mouth.

It should be a learning experience for all involved.

That's the belief of a pebble of flesh, anyway...a pebble with this
strange, quite possibly false sense of uniqueness...

"I kept dreaming of reality, and every time something awakened me. It was
like if the screen even began to clear, revealing its true nature,
something flickered and instead of looking at the surface, I would find
myself distracted by what was projected onto it. The flickers will
continue, but I won't be looking. This is the beginning of the end of
me."
