Yeah, new age cliches alienate a lot of searching people. It really presses
my buttons if I go down to Glastonbury a few miles away, brimming as it is
with crystal shops and tie dyed hairy folk with kids called 'Willow' or
'Shakti'. I know it's B*tchy but it makes my hair stand on end (OK I may be
hairy but I wouldn't be seen dead in tie dye)

One thing that we can't loss sight of is

this is one reason why I like Jung so much - he did loads to make eastern
stuff accessible to the western mind, and so much of his terminology is now
common parlance. Surely one gift of spiritual growth is to be able to
relate to people from where they're coming from, talk their language from
their experience etc.
