Hello,

Perhaps I don't have anything better to do
with my time today, but to respond to this:

You guessed it, Christopher, I still have some buttons. It doesn't bother me
that much, even when they get
pushed (not like it once did).

According to you, that disqualifies me from
the lofty heights of Self-Realization. That suits me
suits me quite well.

A couple years age I finally realized that I don't
belong in the lofty heights, hovering 10 feet above
the daily dramas of the rest of the world.... and
I'd look silly in a white robe (real or projected through
e mail). What a tremendous relief it has been to finally
allow myself to be an average person.

I can have fun again. And I don't have to feel
guilty about having certain likes *and* dislikes
("buttons"). When I see other people get upset
occasionally, even if I think they're making a
big deal out of nothing, I can accept and respect
where they are in life.... their dash of salt and pepper
and quirky imperfections that give them character.

Like others on this list, I had an awaking with all
the trimmings. I changed me profoundly... ultimately
for the better, most of my friends and family say.
However, I'm not very well versed in Kandalinispeak.
I'm glad it spoken and debated on this list as it's
helped me understand the particulars of the changes
I went through. One thing that we can't loss sight of is
that all our transpersonal banter, no matter how true
and eloquent, only speaks to a tiny, tiny portion of the
8 billion (?) people on this planet.... and of that portion,
only those who own computers and are signed onto
spiritual/kundalini/transpersonal discussion groups.

We march down the road, seemingly ahead of
everybody else, like a little battalion of teachers who
just made some ingenious interpretation of an ancient
scroll.... while the rest of the world chokes on the dust
we leave behind.

We are a book shop crammed with best selling authors
waiting to sign copies of our first editions for an admiring
public... and wondering why nobody is coming
through the door.

All our awakenings happened for a reason. Some Kundalites
really do have a gift for teaching perfection. That can be a
good thing, I'm sure, but it's not my thing.

When I think about it, the only things I really have
to offer are food and shelter, a small amount of cash,
some physical labor, love and commitment, art lessons,
a few bad jokes and a shoulder to cry on....

The rest is just talk....

Got to run. Still lots to do before the holidays.

Respectfully,

Paul
(owner of yet another stuffy, sententious,
  transpersonal web site)
