Subject: [K-list] Herbs and K - Hello Sean

Hello, Sean,

Found whenever have interacted with any food, like herbs, or medication or even food poisoning - that a gentle fast was a good idea like Sylvia was suggesting. I keep it simple - like reduce to tiny meals or just one meal a day for three days ... or if something really does not agree with me then I go to apples and will have them all day, as many as am hungry and sometimes continue for up to three days...and plenty of water ... beyond that it's time for some serious protein!

Sounds like your inner self told you to pass on the medication, at least that one, you just didn't like the way it made you feel and robbed your creativity. Was it meant to balance you by taking you way to the opposite of where you were? ... and then maybe your own body would finish bringing you back to center?... what has this doctor told you since the initial dosage? ... I'd be getting him to do some serious explaining after this kind of reaction.

For what it's worth, there is a book I've found helpful as this K thing can take a lot of twists and turns and it seems my dietary interests swing with the pendulum at times. Have not done well with synthetic anything nor hormones in my food, like in beef and chicken. Whenever taking herbs, take them in very small amounts to watch for how it affects me. The following book describes a lot of these herbs and which people should not take which ones.

The book is "Healing with Whole Foods: Oriental Traditions and Modern Nutrition" by Paul Pitchford.
(ISSN 1-55643-220-8) North Atlantic Books, Berkeley, California. I liked this particular book because it was not one size fits all... you can do whatever works for you ... basically combines the Taoist perspective with Western. Might be worth a look for you. Hope you feel better soon.

Oh, and just remember, no matter what anyone tells you... chocolate really is one of the major food groups! ... enjoy at will...(grin).. unless, of course, you are allergic, and so please disregard this fun...

Love,

Denise
