"How many times now, do flashes before your eyes
when they are shut, bring up the emotions of fear ..?"

Dear Chris, Susan, List,

I'll add mine to the "never" vote!

For me these K flashes bring up excited anticipation. I too have always
loved lightening storms and can't imagine why most early peoples would feel
fear instead of feeling that wild electric "charge" --the Awe at the glorious
power, and the knowledge that the storms will bring rain. :))

A fearful childhood can do this, I would imagine.

Well, perhaps some people's past memories have been more pleasant ones :)),
but it seems to me that to feel one has to "release" memories of the body
would suggest the "falsehood" that we are not *always* perfection.

Whooo Boy, do I ever disagree with this! I think this is a very puritanical
way of looking at ecstasy/bliss. For me ecstasy is a physical sensation--a
translation of the body's reaction to K energy. It is our essential nature.
I'm not saying there may not be anything beyond bliss. But bliss is our
birthright. As Sri Ramana Maharshi said:

"What is Bliss but your own being? You are not apart from Being which is the
same as Bliss. You are now thinking that you are the mind or the body which
are both changing and transient. But you are unchanging and eternal. That
is what you should know....you cannot find Bliss in places and in periods of
time. It must be permanent in order that it may be useful. Such permanent
being is yourself. Be the Self and that is Bliss. You are always that."

"As it was in the beginning,
now and ever shall be .."

Amen! :))

Love, Hillary
