Dear Melissa, Froggy, Ant, Denise, Cat and everyone who read my post
last week,

Thank you for your comments. I seldom send long letters to the list.
There are so many insightful, articulate people here that it can be
a little intimidating.

Oh, by the way, the festival was a gas (Back to it's usual size... the
teaming masses of last year didn't quite slow up). I'll tell you
more, but first:

I like the "ducks in a row" idea... oops! my western, linear mind is
showing.

You're right about the above. I should just get on with manifesting my
dreams (I'd like to develop a holistic, drug addiction treatment method
using what I've learned since my K awakening). The "stuff" will surface
in it's due time and will be dealt with and done away with in a healthy
manner if I'm in the upward flow.

It really was a good weekend. We were about to leave when a woman
plugging in an electric sitar caught my friend's eye. A Samurai looking
fellow with a guitar also took the the stage with her. The female singer
was wearing a big, Mad Hatter top hat and the rest of the ensemble was
equally as colorful. The announcer said, "Please welcome... Funky Glow
Worm!"

From the fist note to the last note, we were rocketed to the clouds. No,
this wasn't your generic trance or "new age" stuff. This was musical,
melodic, psychedelic... very hard to define... very over-the-top....
a psychic celebration with a shape, sound and color all it own.

And to think we almost missed them.

That's the frustrating thing about life. There's so much to do and see
and so little time. There's so many interesting people and places out
there... but I'm only one person with one short life time.

Another thing I happened upon was the electric didgeredoo (spelling?).
It's probably nothing new if you live in Australia, but they've really
been catching on in the states. Huffing and puffing on those big tubes,
you can get some very powerful resonance *and* get your pranayama to
boot!

Seriously through, the added electronic effects and amplification of
such an ancient instrument with the intense personal, physical
involvement of the player might even be a little dangerous (?) We shall
see. Spiritual emergencies aside, expect at least a few cases of
hyperventilation and some broken windows.

...oh, and Kelly was there in full bloom with her side kick and assorted
entourage.

Sunday the festival was over. The crowds went home, the colored banners
were taken down and the street was open for traffic again... just like
nothing happened.

........sigh

I think I'll pick a flower petal, put in my shirt pocket and keep
believing in Paradise.

Paul
