<<ah! ...another shameless Westerner... just like me!
It's nice not feel so alone here.

Well I like to think of myself as a world citizen, or even a universal
citizen really. But I DO see the West as having it's fair share of
contributions to making our species capable of some joyous and fun times--and
by fun, i mean that which moves me or causes wonderment and awe, or maybe
just a slight breeze blowing up my skirt as I walk down the street.

I love the west for giving us Individualism, and shaking that throat-gripping
social determinism of clans and bloodlines. Though I also believe that the
species has taken individualism too far, and it's time for meaningful
relational groupings to have more influence. But not based on bloodlines this
time. And hopefully, not "faith-based" (in the ugliest sense of the term)
either. Joy-based would be sweet.
