Very simply ..

  the effect on the awareness
  and the symptoms experienced

are directly proportional to the degree
of denial of the physical body .. and
the degree to which the mind does not
want to accept the changes that are
  taking place within it ..

Kundalini is not doing it to you ..
Kundalini is silent ..

It is the mind which is attempting to control and manipulate
that energy which is the source of the mind's functioning.
