Hello, Hansjoerg,
I know that nasty guy! Ha! Those ugly little demon "critters," (that is American Southern Speak for "creatures" for all you second language friends reading this. Nothing worse than too much "slang" when reading someone else's language... Apologies for inconvenience.)
There are lots of things this "being" can represent. From what you mentioned in this one post, it seemed as though you were seeking knowledge in an honest sincere manner from "all beings that could assist" you. Yes?
First of all, sounds like you called in more spiritual energy than you can digest. This is where filters help. Filters: I know some people are going to argue with me on this one so hold on to your reply button before you roast me, my loves! Read on.
Again, I can only speak from personal experience of what I have found to work for me in certain situations. I'm not some fancy expert or famous yoga teacher. I am an honest seeker like yourself and so many others on this list. Now that the Big Disclaimer is out of the way, let's rock on! (Move forward...)
Filters, the need: When you receive an intense rush of energy you just can't adjust to fast enough. I've found this to be so when I'm reaching for too much too soon. (Just a wee bit ambitious...) Often, I've jumped ahead of several levels and found the trip exhausting and have to recuperate. Doesn't take long before I've adjusted to that new level. I'm one of those "giant leap" growers, in huge spurts. You may be similar. It is easy to become overwhelmed if you are not careful. A few precautions along the way are of help until you no longer require them. I've discarded many things along the way. That doesn't make them any less valuable, just no longer necessary as I built my strength and will. (Allying my ego with my Higher Self so I can develop easier.)
Coming from a Christian mindset at the time, I decided to use some of those wonderful and most peculiar scriptures that discussed the Holy Spirit. (Holy Spirit as The Teacher acting as a conduit from God to humanity. Holy Spirit as the Great God Internet Provider...)
In essence, I put a spiritual lock on myself that only Holy Spirit was given access. I tend to be sensitive to people, feeling their feelings and hearing their thoughts, knowing their deep desires, etc. It is easy to get caught up their dramas and mind clutter until you grow past it.
It can be overwhelming when at a festival atmosphere like Marti Gras in New Orleans where there are over a million people congregating and in an excited state of energy. (I'm very proud of myself, this year I went and did quite well, I'll have you know. My "filter" has been in operation for decades now. I still feel, hear, know others but now it is not painful nor overwhelming nor exhausting energy "flow out." I've learned, through the filter, how to transform that energy.)
The experience can be similar when accessing spiritual levels where there is so much available, and a much faster flow of energy, some familiar, some unfamiliar until you take the time to get to know it.
Back to the big, bad demon fellow. That nasty boy is familiar! My "sight" of you, a visual from your writing of the experience, was you were enjoying yourself conversing with many enlightened beings, people, and in popped this "jerk". (Someone who refuses to behave in a respectful manner toward others, often a bully.)
Ah, so who is he? I call him "The Killjoy." That's right, the spoiler of your fun. He can be strictly an archetype, a symbol. He can also be a being that is acting with complete awareness and intelligence, saturated with that same archetypal negative unfriendly energy. He can even be a "good angel" masquerading in "wolf's clothing" to draw your attention to something you need to attend to before going further in your spiritual journey. In other words, try not to get caught up in all the fun while there is still some bit of work to do before partying.
He could be just an individual from an actual class of demons, just one of a myriad of old and ancient beings and races. It really doesn't matter. You can do your own "exorcism." Exorcism is really just "removing that which does not belong." (The levels of annoyance to obsession to actual possession are not necessary here.)
The "demon business" is just one level of many many realities. You've been busy accessing much higher levels. You may not be completely finished with this level and have some remnants, some "old files" to throw in the "recycle bin" to be transformed into a more productive energy for you to employ along your journey. Start considering how you desire to accomplish this.
Rather than exorcism, Angelique calls it "entity clearing." Same thing. You can choose other than a Christian mindset to filter until you no longer require it. In the end, it is you that has complete authority to decide what you will allow. It really is your choice.
My advice? When you "ask and receive," narrow down your choices.
What else can Mr. Demon represent? Let's try guilt on for size. Western culture is rampant with it. ("Thou shalt not...") Usually, this is just plain guilt for having so much fun discovering just how wonderful the universe truly is. As if you don't deserve such blessings... He could be just the archetype of "You Are Not Worthy." (A very Old World or Catholic mindset.)
What can I say? Put a spiritual lock on the old Guilt Meter while you are establishing a filter.
Why should a person feel guilty for desiring wholeness, joy, knowledge of that which is greater than themselves? You are entitled to these blessings just like everyone else, pagan or Christian or Islamic or ....you get the idea. Everyone is worthy. It's an "equal opportunity" thing with the Universe (of Love).
Another thing to consider is what Christopher wrote about in his essay on "Persistence." It is quite true. Other people, in our "conditioning" to live on this slower spiritual level we call the material world, layer shadows of their beliefs and fearful thoughts as overlays upon our personalities. These "overlays" literally "get in the way" when we begin to ascend to a higher spiritual level in our development. That is why they "pop up" (appear) at the most inopportune moments.
So, don't allow this nasty fellow and any one else of the same mean-spiritedness to access you any longer. It would help your understanding if you went into your "personal files" to access who or what this represents to you, personally.
It could just be the case of "lowered vision." Raise your vision of yourself and all others to the Divine Standard. These lower level realities disappear quickly because you are strictly focused upon the Divine Standard which is One very High Level, indeed!
Remember, No Fear. Nasty little entities feed on that fear energy if you are willing to give it to them. It's time for this bad guy to find another "food lounge"!
Or if he is one of your "good angels," a spiritual guardian who is masquerading as a bad guy just to get your attention, wearing the clothing of stagnant stuck energy you need to release, let him fully into your awareness and embrace, gathering up into your arms this old stagnant no longer useful energy so you can fully examine it. Upon examination, you will probably start laughing and wonder why you held on to such nonsense for such a long time. Joy is a great way to release stuck energy.
Archetypes are useful tools. No fear. These symbols just help us clear ourselves of unnecessary conditioning from culture or even seared emotional trauma, to simplify our lives so that we no longer just "look" with material cultured eyes but rather now "see" with our spiritual uncluttered eyes the marvelous vistas and opportunities before us. Our eyes uncovered...
My "sight" tells me this is one of your good guys, a spiritual guardian, an angel, a warrior angel to be exact, who has been trying for an exhausting long time to access your awareness. When you "look back" you will probably remember him in less threatening disguises but you chose to ignore him. It took good old fashioned fear for him to access you. Now that he finally has your attention, ask him all the questions you desire. He stands ready to assist. You've been asking for spiritual guides when you had this warrior angel all along. He can remind you about focus and establishing priorities. Have fun with this!
