I know next to nothing about wild yam except that it contains phytoestrogens,
right?
Any dramatic shift in the body (illness, trauma, drugs, impending death, and
so forth) has the potential to open the door for kundalini to rise. In
women, k-rising is frequently associated with hormone shifts -- menstruation,
childbirth, menopause -- so it seems possible that the wild yam opened your
hormonal door to k-energy. I'm some years past menopause but I still can't
tell the difference between a hot flash and a k-flare. I no longer worry
about trying to, either! The physical and the spiritual are one and the
same. Holly
