Hello Laura ..

I most definitely agree with Mystress on this one ..

Albeit, there are those who say that these are ancient symbols that have
been around for thousands of years .. whatever .

From my experiences, there are a couple of things here ..

Firstly ..
a symbol was, back then, one man's way of explanation, of
understanding .. of recording .. and of passing on information ..

Much like a word is a solid thought form which has meaning,
so too is a symbol. Therefore, association with a symbol creates
a link and an attachment to the thoughtform which the symbol represents.

Again, Mystress covered this principle with the links she uncovered
in her druids work with the circuit board .. simple electronic components
carrying the vibration of conflict back to other people in time and space.

Symbols have exactly the same effect .. and by having them placed in your
aura, you are inviting these people/energies/thoughtforms into your
energy field, where they will rule your subconscious and unconscious.

Secondly ..
a symbol also carries the personal vibration overlay of the
person who places the symbol ..

Unless the person who introduces the symbol is absolutely unconditional
in offering you the symbol .. and you are equally unconditional in your
acceptance of the symbol, these energies of the contract between you
and the "Master" are also introduced into your sub/un conscious mind.

Again, Mystress' story is a clear illustration of how this can be so.

Consideration ..
If an "attunement" is conditional on the placing of symbols in your
aura, then you are tied to the person who places them there ..
until they are removed .. and every function you perform which calls on
those symbols invokes the other person.

If someone says to you that they will offer you this majical panacea
provided you pay to have these symbols (which, for the most part you are
not allowed to see) inserted in your aura .. then this panacea .. whatever
it is called is conditional.

By this definition, if you have to pay for a reiki alignment and part
of the alignment involves the placing of the symbols for which you
have paid .. into your aura ..

then, for you, the reiki alignment is conditional .. and you are
tied to your master until those symbols are removed.

The same can be said of any symbolism placed in the auric field ..
or over the body .. the priest who conditionally crosses your third eye
as a blessing is actually placing a curse on you, because within
the symbol of the cross are all of the vibrations, conscious and
unconscious of the one who placed them there. If you had to do
something as an exchange for this gift/curse, then that belief
is also set into your unconscious as a filter of your unconscious
behaviour response ..

and as a form of control.

If anyone tells you that "in order to ...." you have to have a symbol
placed in your energy field, this is a form of limitation and control
based on emotional blackmail ..

and the bad news is .. you take it with you when you
die .. into the next incarnation .. and so on until you
figure out what is going on .. and clear it .. as an act of
  your own will ..

and .. if you have children after the "initiation" you energetically
and genetically, pass this symbolism on to succeeding
generations of your biological lineage ..

So .. you thought you had free will ..
So did I until I sat down with a mirror
and checked out my own aura ..
