Thanks Wim, and yes, it could very well be that [all of the above] is just
as valid an answer as [none of the above].

The answer [why not?] is probably the best one. I remember struggling with
the question of why as a fifteen year old. It kept me up all night some
thirty six years ago. For hours on end I simply asked why over and over
again. The answer came as a sweet music that flowed through my body
accompanied by a deep sense of joy and playfulness. My only reaction at
that time was to say thank you. Of course being a teenaged male it wasn't
long before I was back to thinking more about girls and cars and making
some money (to spend on girls and cars) than the mysteries of the universe!
heeheehee!

During my lifetime I have believed in so many things, had so many
experiences, studied so many scriptures and tried so hard to get IT. When
IT happened there was the realization that IT had been here all along -
through the 'good' times and the 'bad' times.

IT is not dependent on our opinions, beliefs, hopes or fears - or even our
concepts of what IT is. The situation is really the other way around - so
to speak. Of course, talking this way is utterly nonsensical! How can there
be an IT separate from an us?

If I have any advice to offer, it would be this:

Don't become too emotionally involved with what the weather is doing.
Every day is beautiful. Some days are stormy and it is best to be indoors.
Other days are fine for playing in the sun.

Live, laugh, love and be happy.

If we pretend (at least) that every one we meet is god in the flesh, we are
not far from the truth of the matter.

HAHAHAH and HOHOHO!

Peace - time for pie - Michael

ps - old Zen masters were given to insulting each other, calling thier
brothers 'old rice bags' and 'dung brains', thus they reminded themselves
not to become prideful and serious. :-)
